Book your pet's next wellness exam to keep them happy and healthy.
Your furry friend’s health is important to us. The best way to ensure they are supported in their health is to book a yearly routine examination (also referred to as a wellness exam) with our team. Pets can age over 5 times faster than humans so yearly exams help us to keep up-to-date with their needs. Depending on your pet’s age, we might need to see them more often than once a year. To book your pet’s routine wellness exam, please contact us at 604-824-5848.
In the first year of life, puppies and kittens will have a series of vaccine appointments along with an appointment for their spay/neuter procedure. Following that, annual exams are recommended throughout adulthood. Once your pet has reached their senior years and depending on how their general health is, more frequent checks (~6 months) are recommended to keep your pet as comfortable and healthy as possible.
At your pet’s routine examination, you can expect to answer a few questions about your pet’s health/well-being and a veterinarian will examine your pet. Depending on your pet’s needs, our veterinarians might recommend wellness testing to gain a deeper understanding of your pet’s health. Wellness testing might include blood tests, urine tests, X-rays, blood pressure monitoring, or other diagnostic procedures. Our intention is to uncover any underlying issues your pet might have so we can take the right preventative steps to address them. Our team of veterinarians are trained to interpret the results of wellness testing, physical examination as well as your pet’s behavior, lifestyle and travel history to create the best care plan for your furry family member.
Most of our questions help our veterinarians better understand your pet’s overall health and well-being. It is important to answer these questions as honestly as possible, including consulting everyone who cares for your pet. Even small details can help influence the kind of support we can offer your pet. We want to provide your pet with the best care possible by knowing all the facts:
